Center photo: Mary Macias, a local farmer, sets up her produce early Tuesday morning at the Albuquerque Uptown Grower’s Market, located at Presbyterian Hospital. Macias and other vendors are part of an initiative to foster positive economic relationships between local buyers and farmers by accepting various modes of payments such as WIC, Senior Checks, EBT and Debit.
Center photo: Danny McCarthy, a senior dual major in art history and studio art, works on a project in the Fine Arts woodshop on Tuesday. McCarthy, along with other staff and students, has been affected considerably by the lack of funding to the Fine Arts department.

Is the first full theater performance of Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company since a fire devastated their flamenco studio last December.
Center Photo: Nick Gannon, a biochemistry major, cultures cells in the Bio-medical Research Facility on Tuesday afternoon. Gannon among other researchers, is looking into anti-cancer agents produced naturally by the body.
Center: Farmer Lorenzo Candelaria, owner of Cornelio Candelaria Organics in Albuquerque’s valley of Atrisco stands before the backdrop of a sub-acequia that stretches 2,000 feet long on Monday morning. The sub-acequia is just one of the many acacias that allows for natural irrigation of the farms crops.
Bottom: Annibal Reyes recounts his story about not being able to register for classes during the spring semester on Tuesday afternoon. Reyes is one of the 22 Venezuelan exchange students who are affected by the devastating economic climate in Venezuela.
Top: Protesters gathered on Wednesday evening after an eviction notice was posted on the fence in Tent City outside of downtown. The inhabitants were relocated to a vacant lot between Second and Third Streets with the help of The Barelas Community Coalition and Barelas Neighborhood Association.
